Dianara anxiously awaits her turn to be milked out after the Marion County Spring Show
The does pictures below have wonderful milking backgrounds, and it has shown through in they and their kids. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions concerning these does or their kids. Thank you for your interest in our herd, and we hope you enjoy your stroll through our page. If you would like a closer look at any picture, just click on it to see a larger view. The enlarged views show the fine details that are important, but are not easily seen in the smaller pictures (such as udder lines, pasterns, and blending details).

Purebred Doe (April 10, 1997-May 8th, 2002)
Michcle's greatest attribute is her udder. It is extreme in every demension.
It is high, wide, and blended beautifully. You would have to look hard to find a
doe with rear udder height to compare to Michcle's. She has a nearly perfect 1/3
sectioned udder, supported by a strong medial suspensory ligament.
She has passed on her prominent chest, smooth and stretchy skin,
high and wide escutions, and long, elegant necks to all her kids. She catches the eye with
her long neck and long body drawing the eye to her capacious and stongly attached udder.
Michcle finished her championship at her first show in 2001. She was 2xGCH and then went on
to win Best Doe in Show for BOTH shows as well as Best Udder. However, we lost
Michcle in 2002. Luckily, we managed to keep one of the two only doe kids
she ever gave, Mi*Esperar Darshan.

This is a picture of Darshan at the 2002 AGPA show in Little Rock. In this photo,
she is a first freshener. Since this photo, she has received several
Best Alpine Udder awards. Her udder has grown to have closely placed teats, a strong medial
suspensory ligament, strong fore and rear (and overall) attachment, and collapses
extremely well.
Darshan finished her championship in 2004 and took Best Doe in Show. Her udder is
now quite larger, but in the excitement of preparing to compete in Best Doe in Show,
I milked her out before thinking to take a picture. She is a doe worth looking at,
so I will try to get a picture up eventually with a full udder.

Purebred Doe (2001-2004)
Noor is almost as large as Michcle, and she is just a yearling doe. She is
a very big girl. The first picture was taken after Noor went BDIS for the junior does at the 2002 AGPA
show in Little Rock. She was commented on her enormous body capacity, levelness of
rump, and beautiful body style.

Geisha has the maturity at two years that most sundgaus take four to reach. She
is the strongest, steadiest milker in the herd. Her milk production doesn't falter
even through the hot months and show season. She is long bodied and wide. A
beautiful doe to look at. Her major fault? She is a horrible mother! Just ask her
little buckling in the photo.
This picture was taken in the morning while she had been left out all night with her
buckling. Please note this is not an udder filled for a show.

Opal is NOT an oberhausli! (Even though she does look like one.) This is the
first daughter out of Darshan. Opal is a bit short, but she has one of the best
foreudders I've seen on an alpine. She is consistenly praised for her foreudder
in the rings, tight shoulder assembly, and her style. She is not on test this year,
but she will easily earn her star next year.
This picture was taken in the morning while she had been left out all night with her
buckling. Please note this is not an udder filled for a show. This is also Opal's
first freshening.
Since Darshan had twin does this year, Opal's position in the herd is being challenged.
Depending on how well these girls impress us, Opal may be for sale. So keep a
lookout to see our listings toward the end of the summer!
